Mikolaj Zalasinski
Mikołaj Zalasiński graduated with honors from the Academy of Music in
Katowice and is a winner of several vocal competitions, including the Adam
Didur Opera Singers' Competition. He received the Jan Kiepura Award as
Best Opera Singer (2009) and the Amber Ring for Un ballo in maschera.
He is acclaimed for his interpretations of Verdi and verismo roles,
including Macbeth, Nabucco, Rigoletto, Scarpia, Amonasro, Germont, Wotan,
and Barnaba. He has performed at Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro Regio
in Turin, Opernhaus Zürich, Teatro Real in Madrid, Maggio Musicale
Fiorentino, Bayerische Staatsoper, New Israeli Opera, and the Polish
National Opera. He has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Muti,
Gatti, Gergiev, Renzetti, Battistoni, Wellber, Callegari, Viotti,
Arrivabeni, and Bisanti.
